IDPP Participates in M-Enabling 2015
The IDPP is delighted to participate in the 2015 M-Enabling Summit held from 1-2 June in Crystal City, Virginia. Hosted by IDPP outreach partner the Global Initiative for Inclusive ICTs (G3ict), the Summit hosts over 500 participants from leading software developers, mobile service providers, national and international governing bodies, disability rights organizations, and education institutions. This year’s conference theme is “Mobile Innovation: Smarter Living for All” and will feature a keynote address from Mr. Gary Shapiro, President and CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), as well as other presentations from leaders in accessible ICTs and disability rights.
The IDPP has actively participated in the M-Enabling Summit each year since 2012, most notably hosting the roundtable discussion “Mobile Accessibility and the UNCRPD: The Intersection of Innovations in Accessible Mobile Technology and Disability Policy” in 2013.
The M-Enabling Summit is the only conference exclusively dedicated to promoting mobile accessible and assistive applications and services for senior citizens and users of all abilities. It serves as an annual forum of exchange for all who create and contribute accessible ICT products, services and consumer technologies.
