Myanmar Institute of Theology Joins IDPP Network
The IDPP is honored to welcome the Myanmar Institute of Theology (MIT) as the newest university partner institution in its growing international network of university and outreach partners. MIT is the IDPP’s first university partner in Myanmar and joins 14 other distinguished universities across the ASEAN region and the U.S. that are collaborating with the IDPP to build an inclusive, barrier-free and rights-based ASEAN region. As part of the partnership, MIT President Rev. Dr. Samuel Ngun Ling will serve on the IDPP Advisory Board and Vice President Rev. Dr. Maung Maung Yin will join the IDPP Executive Committee.

Dr. Maung Maung participated in the 2013 IDPP Annual Meeting as a distinguished guest and observer, where he met key IDPP senior leadership and staff, attended expert lectures given by IDPP faculty, connected with IDPP Advisory Board and Executive Committee members, and offered valuable networking opportunities to capacity building residency participants.
IDPP/COTELCO Executive Director Dr. Derrick Cogburn first met Dr. Maung Maung and visited MIT in February 2013 during Dr. Cogburn's participation in a historic higher education delegation visiting universities in Myanmar organized by the Institute of International Education.
MIT is a Christian-based higher education institution located in Yangon, Myanmar.
