Events in Bangkok included a biannual IDPP Core Team Meeting; outreach meetings with NGOs, DPOs, and government agencies to further enhance awareness of the IDPP and CIDP Master’s program; and the IDPP’s participation in the World Blind Union/ICEVI’s 2012 World Congress.
Dr. Cogburn delivered the Technology Keynote Address at the World Congress on 15 November 2012. The talk offered a look into the future of the challenges and opportunities provided by technological innovations as they relate to the blind and visually impaired communities.
At the conference's Gala Dinner on 16 November 2012, IDPP Executive Committee member and ICEVI Immediate Past President Dr. Larry Campbell won the ICEVI Lifetime Achievement Award for his 35 years of dedicated service to the blind, visually impaired, and disability communities around the world.
From 19-20 November 2012, IDPP Regional Coordinator Mr. Yulianto participated in ICEVI's Higher Education Initiative Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand.
