Giang Phan

Ms. Giang Phan earned her B.A. in English of Science and Technology from Hanoi University of Technology in Vietnam in 2008. After graduation, she spent four years working on issues of environmental conservation in Vietnam. In 2012, she started her master’s degree in Global Environmental Policy in the School of International Service at American University (AU) upon receiving the Hall of Nations Award from the university. At AU, she focused her study and research on issues of environmental conservation, international development and human rights. She earned her master’s degree in December 2014. Since August 2013, Ms. Phan has served as a part-time research associate at COTELCO and its Institute on Disability and Public Policy (IDPP). Within IDPP, she is involved in the project on Comparative Implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Within the project, she is writing a paper on understanding national implementation of disability policy in Vietnam.
